Frequently Asked Questions

All schedules, abstract submission acknowledgements, peer-review reports, and event access credentials are sent via email as transactional notifications. When you register or submit an enquiry, an automatic confirmation email is dispatched to your registered address. You must use a valid, active email address to ensure delivery.

Yes. All conferences listed on the ConferenceAlert directory are 100% virtual and conducted entirely online via professional video conferencing platforms. No physical venue attendance, travel, visa processing, or geographical presence is required. You can present your research from your home institution or home office from anywhere in the world.

We enforce a strict anti-spam and permission-based communication policy. We do not purchase, rent, or trade third-party email lists, nor do we send unsolicited marketing or cold-outreach emails. All email communications are strictly transactional and permission-based, triggered exclusively by user actions (such as account sign-up, enquiry form submission, or abstract registration). To protect our domain reputation and deliverability, we run real-time bounce and complaint monitoring integrated with Amazon SES via SNS notification hooks:

  • Any email address generating a hard bounce (e.g., invalid mailbox) is automatically and permanently added to our suppression list — no further emails are sent.
  • Any address that registers a spam complaint is immediately and permanently suppressed.
  • Soft bounces are tracked and escalated to suppression if persistent.

This maintains our complaint rate below 0.1% and bounce rate below 2%, well within AWS and industry best-practice thresholds.

Yes. Non-essential academic update notifications include a clear, one-click unsubscribe link processed immediately. For critical transactional notifications, you may request full account deactivation or complete data deletion at any time by emailing support@conferencealert.online. We respond to all data requests within 30 business days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

All submitted abstracts undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Reviewers are assigned from our international academic committee relevant to your discipline. Authors are blinded from reviewer identities and vice versa during evaluation. Upon completion of review, you receive a transactional email notifying you of the outcome — acceptance, revision request, or rejection — with reviewer comments.

Registrations cancelled more than 14 days before the event are refundable subject to a 10% administrative processing fee. Cancellations within 14 days of the event are non-refundable as scheduling and abstract cataloging are finalized. However, you may transfer your registration to a co-author, colleague, or any other upcoming ConferenceAlert conference within 12 months at no additional charge.
